365.... the year long project.

So I have started a 365 project. Basically take a photo a day... i haven't put any restrictions on what these photos are, it has to be something that follows my mood or an idea or theme I think of.

Not only will this make me pick up my camera everyday and take time to do what I love... but I am also hoping it will help trigger some new concepts and ideas. Hopefully some interesting photos and some original work.

Day 1 :

This is the first photo I decided to start the project with. A self portrait.
I was in the bathroom when I noticed an interesting looking moth fluttering against the light bulb, I ran to get my camera with the intention of capturing the moth. When I got back and saw myself in the mirror with the camera I thought of doing the self portrait and call it "The Search"

Day 2:

After an 'all nighter' I went into the garden to enjoy the fresh morning air I ended up sitting on the wall and watching the sun rise.

Day 3:

Title : Procrastination

Love the textures on this rusty forgotten tool....

Day 4:

Title: Calm after the storm

After a full day of rain, wind and generally miserable weather I took a walk in the garden after the rain had stopped. It was beautiful drops of water falling off leaves, the air felt fresh and the garden looked alive.

All in all the first four days went fine photos came easily. Things are calling to be shot all over and finding the one picture has proven hard and exciting at the same time. I wonder how the photos will change over the year as moods, places and experiences change....

San Francisco!!!

After spending 6 weeks in San Francisco I can truly say I have fallen in love with the free spirited city.

As with all cities I was looking for interesting people and cool illusions or textures to create with the buildings and streets.
San Francisco is filled with surprises around every corner!

One thing to always remember is to look up....

For now this is all I am going to show.... I will be posting more photos of San Francisco shortly along with the adventures that came with it!

Pets pets pets!

So I have always loved taking photos of animals be it wildlife or domesticated.
Here are a few photos of a lovely rescue cat called "Tips"
The trick is to wait until they are very sleepy and then snap away! Trying not to use flash is key!

New Flash...

So I recently purchased a new flash for my camera and I thought I would put it to test in a badly lit room here is what came out of it.

Snow Angel =)

A trip to sweden in the winter opens a lot of opportunities for beautiful photos like this one of my nephew Noa lying down in the snow on a beautiful day :) This was also an opportunity to test out the micro 105mm lens as a portrait lens.
